The Resume: A Full-Page Advertisement for Yourself

Before a company can decide whether to meet with you, it must be able to evaluate your qualifications for the position. This is where the resume you have prepared becomes all-important. A good resume can be a ticket to the interview, while a bad one can guarantee you don't even get a second glance.

Your resume says a lot about you: it describes your background, both professional and personal, including information about your education, career, achievements, and so on. A good resume takes time and planning to prepare because you have only one or two pages in which to display the accomplishments of your entire life.
